Villa Blanca Wedding | St. Augustine, FL | Stephanie + Nicole
Stephanie and Nicole started their day by getting ready at their own home. Usually couples don’t get ready together but these two got to spend the morning with their family and friends in their wedding party. It was fantastic having both in the same space and I absolutely loved their house! After getting dressed separately they did a first look directly across the street in a small walkway lined with greenery. There were clouds covering the sun casting a soft light over them that we decided to do some wedding party and family formal portraits in the same spot. Don’t you love Nicole’s white jacket with black lapel and bowtie! The detail on Stephanie’s wedding gown was to die for.
Once the limo arrived we headed to downtown St. Augustine to capture some additional wedding party portraits in the streets. I did individual photos of each bride standing on the cobble stone street. Then it was off to their ceremony in the Villa Blanca upstairs space. Since we took most of the family formals and all of the wedding party portraits before the ceremony it took us about 5 minutes to complete the rest. The couple was able to then join the rest of cocktail hour and mingle with everyone that came to celebrate. I love that my couples that choose to do a first look get to enjoy the majority of their cocktail hour since the day does fly by at that point.
About 15 minutes prior to sunset I got Stephanie and Nicole over to the marina across the street from Villa Blanca. We took some amazing sunset photos and they got to enjoy a moment together to just breath it all in. The brides brought along a gay pride flag and I am absolutely obsessed with the photos we took of them holding it.
We headed back inside for dinner and the food was flawless as usual. The White Room really knows how to do appetizers. The meals at the White Room are quite delicious too! Did I forget to mention they also do Poptails? Yes cocktails with popsicles in them!
Once dinner was done the couple cut the wedding cake and everyone made their way upstair for some dancing. If you want to see how to do a party you need to check out Stephanie and Nicole’s reception in the Villa Blanca second floor! Party Solutions Entertainment transformed the space with their lighting – including the couple’s name projected on the wall- and awesome DJ booth. The party was going, the gay pride flag made it out on the dance floor and the White Room passed around late night desserts (like cookies and milk!) They finished their fabulous wedding off a sparkler exit in the alley next to the White Room.
